I was born deaf August 17, 1991 in Seward, Alaska. I was homeschooled and swam competitively for two seasons of high school swimming. I worked for two summers for the City of Seward. Then after graduating from high school I decided that I wanted to do triathlons. I was attracted to XTERRA (off-road triathlon racing) because it felt natural. Open water swimming, mountain biking, and trail running just felt at home for me because I grew up in the backwoods of Alaska. Currently my parents, our dog, Buffett and I are on a 6 month training and racing RV trip throughout the western states of the U.S.
My goal: Going pro in triathlons and to enjoy life as much as I can each day!
Coaches: Amber Monforte and Conrad Stoltz of Stoltz Racing.
